Thank you for helping make memories for your child on this fun and exciting day! Please contact me with any questions. Students did a fantastic job last night at their concert! Hello! My name is Becky Hopper. My husband Chris and I live in Weston with our 3 kiddos and our yellow lab Zoe.
Our daughter Ava is 11 and will be in 6th grade at the DCE Middle School. Our two sons go to Mountain Bay Elementary. Will is nine and in 4th grade, and Lucas is six and in 1st grade. My family keeps me very busy, but when I'm not at one of their activities I enjoy playing volleyball, watching the Green Bay Packers, drinking coffee, and all things outdoors. I have been a substitute teacher in the district for four years, and this will be my second time as a kindergarten long term substitute. I am so excited to be at Riverside with all of you! We are going to have so much fun learning and growing together! Welcome to Kindergarten!
We have an exciting year ahead, designed to promote and enhance your child’s growth and development. I am looking forward to having your child in my class and working with your family. This is a very important year filled with discovery and wonder as your child experiences kindergarten. The structure of our daily activities is planned to encourage independence, self-confidence and group cooperation. Our kindergarten day will incorporate instruction and skill reinforcement in reading, phonics, mathematics, writing, science and social studies, fine arts, and social/emotional skills. As excited as I am to meet you and your family, my husband and I welcomed our first child, Miles, in May. I will be out on maternity leave until the end of October. In my place, your students will have Mrs. Becky Hopper as their teacher. Mrs. Hopper has experience teaching kindergarten in the district and is excited to share this time with you and your students. Our upcoming open house will be August 29 from 4:00-6:00. This will be an opportunity for you to have your child visit their classroom and drop off their school supplies. Mrs. Hopper looks forward to meeting you and your child that night! To learn more about your new classroom, check out our Twitter page to explore past kindergarten happenings. For specific questions please do not hesitate to contact myself or Mrs. Hopper through email. I look forward to meeting you all in October! Sincerely, Mrs. Stead & Mrs. Hopper School forest was so much fun! The weather was beautiful and students enjoyed their time! Mrs. SteadMy favorite part of teaching kindergarten is watching my students grow- so much happens their first year in school. I enjoy learning, laughing and reading with my kinders. My husband I welcomed our first child, Miles, in May 2018. I love DIY home improvement projects, cycling and I have one spoiled cat at home! I graduated from UW Oshkosh with a dual degree in early childhood special education and elementary education. This is my eighth year teaching kindergarten at Riverside Elementary. Archives
